Public Speaking This course is a nightmare for people with anxiety and stage-fright, but it can be a productive nightmare if you (and your meds) allow it to be.  Speeches are, unfortunately, part of life. Wedding speeches, informal holiday speeches, academic speeches, workforce presentations...it's horrendous, really.  I took this as part of my associates degree, and it not only got me out of a performance credit at my four-year university, but it also gave me the ability to speak to a group larger than five people without blacking out. The professor I had was incredible.
