Biochemistry (CHEM314)
Biochemistry is when chemistry finally meets organic life—even organic chemistry is more about memorizing reactions than understanding the biological processes that work together to create a living thing.
Make no mistake; biochemistry is not easier than organic chemistry. It is inevitable that you will memorize every amino acid, the biological process of breaking down sugar into energy, storing energy, and several other metabolic processes. However, for students that have issues memorizing a great volume of small factoids that don't seem to fit together, this kind of study will be a tad easier.
The trick is to use the big picture.
This class was taught by Dr. Isabelle Taylor during 2023's spring semester.
